کہ گورنر وزیر خان کے نام کی نسبت سے اس شہر کا نام وزیرآباد رکھا گیا تھا ۔ 1705ء میں شہنشاہ محی الدین محمد عالمگیر کے عہد حکومت میں مثمن برج کے مشرق کی طرف ایک اور عمارت تعمیر کی گئی جس نام شیش محل رکھا گیا تھا ۔. پاکستان مسلم لیگ (ن) کے صدر نواز شریف اور وزیراعلی پنجاب مریم نواز سے راولپنڈی، اٹک، مری، چکوال، وزیرآباد، حافظ آباد اور منڈی بہاؤ الدین سے منتخب ہونے پنجاب اسمبلی کے ارکان نے ملاقات کی۔. طاہر وزیرآبادی کے اندر ایک سچا اور کھڑا شاعر موجود تھا ایسے شاعر اور انسان صدیوں میں پیدا ہوتے ہیں، انہیں سب پیار سے لالہ جی کہہ کر مخاطب ہوتے، مجھ خاکسار کا جب پہلا پنجابی شعری. لالہ طاہر وزیر آبادی‘‘ کی وفات پر نہ صرف وزیرآباد ویران ہوا ہے بلکہ سارا شہر ویران ہو گیا ہے۔ خالد شریف کے اس ضرب المثل شعر کے مصداق۔ بچھڑا کچھ اس ادا سے کہ رُت ہی بدل گئی. ایک ایسی کتاب ہے جو نہ صرف طاقت کے اصولوں کو سمجھنے میں مدد دیتی ہے بلکہ یہ زندگی کی حکمتوں اور نفسیاتی گہرائیوں کو بھی اجاگر کرتی ہے۔. انہوں نے کہا کہ رومی کا فلسفہ یہ تھا کہ وہ کسی ایک جگہ کے نہیں بلکہ ہر جگہ کے ہیں، یہی نظریہ ویدوں کے مشہور قول وسودھیو کٹمبکم‘ (پوری دنیا ایک خاندان ہے) سے مطابقت رکھتا ہے، یہ خیالات مجھے طاقت دیتے ہیں جب میں مختلف. سوامی وویکانند نے ہندوستان کے نوجوانوں کو ایک شاندار ماضی اور ایک عظیم مستقبل کی مضبوط کڑی کے طور پر دیکھا۔. وویکانند کہتے تھے کہ ساری طاقت آپ کے اندر ہے، اس طاقت کو پکارو۔. آپ کو یقین ہونا چاہیے کہ آپ سب کچھ کر. ہیئت تحریر الشام‘ کی قیادت میں باغیوں کی جانب سے اسد خاندان کی سفاکانہ کہلائی جانے والی اور دہائیوں پر محیط حکمرانی کے خاتمے کے بعد اب شام کے مستقبل کے بارے میں کئی اہم سوالات اٹھ رہے ہیں۔.
